Welcome to the Covenant Classical Gardens! We have an exciting year ahead of us and our botany class will be taking advantage of the warm weather the Lord has provided us with! Our compost bin is now completed, and the greenhouse tables are under construction. A tiller was finally provided and we prepared the soil so we can begin planting our greens. Adam Jackson's orchard project has been completed and it is now our job to ensure that we maintain his work, and God's creation.

VISITORS!
Well, so far the collard greens have been growing very well, minus one very large problem. Although the plants themselves are growing very fast, and very well thanks to the weather we have been getting, we do have a slight problem. We have noticed that most of our cabbages and some of the collards were getting eaten, and torn. So we put up the fence as seen in previous posts, but it wasn't enough, because deer can eat over it so we continued with the idea by putting out a larger fence outside of the first one in a sort of boxing ring style. Well this didn't work so we put orange little flags on the ropes as a sort of warning, and still the collards are getting eaten. So currently we are working on putting out the chicken wire around the outside fence in hopes that that will solve the problem. In the end though the only problem we really need to worry about right now is our hungry visitors, everything else is going well.
