All In a Week's Work

So this week I accomplished a good bit of work inside. On Monday, some of the plants that Michelle and I had planted before spring break were sprouting! We noticed that the Chives and Zinnias were especially easy to grow. We spent the rest of the week watering and tending to our plants with steady growth. However, some of the pots lacked any growth at all. It will be interesting to see if those pots succeed. Today I spent the majority of class outside in the beautiful weather. On Monday I plan to begin work on a table for the greenhouse.

la la la :)

This week Kaylyn and I looked after our Lettuce and Coleus. They are both doing great! The Coleus is now getting little bits of pinkish red on them. Kaylyn and I also worked on constructing a door and figuring out the plastic for the Greenhouse.
This past week in Horticulture I watered my pepper plants, planted Chives, Zinnias, and Spearmint, and I planted Radishes. I'm pretty sure some of my Radishes have started growing. Nate, Rachel, Kaylyn, and I also started making a door for the green house. All in all it was quite an active week.

Ecological triumph! and technological struggle...

So,
Since the last post not much has happened. The Cauliflower is steadily growing, they are, some of them, 3-5 in tall now. An interesting development was to find some black bumps, or pinch marks, on the leaves. these marks are on one of the plants and is covering the whole edge of the leaf. The plant looks otherwise healthy I will have to do some research on this. Other than that one all of the plants look healthy and that puts me at a near perfect record for transplanting what is known as one of the most finicky transplanting plants ever.(15-1). Try saying that five times fast.

On another note i tried to update the slide show today. I ripped all of the new pictures off the blog and added them to flickr no problem. But when I tried to refresh the slides it didn't seem like the new pictures were on there. it did this last time. very frustrating.somebody comment if you notice the new pictures on there. I'm going to try to add another picture viewer on the bottom that will just be thumbnails. So we will see how that goes.

P.S. The additional picture viewer at the bottom is not operational yet. I'll work on it more later. gotta go to chapel.
