Covenant Classical Gardens

Welcome to the Covenant Classical Gardens! We have an exciting year ahead of us and our botany class will be taking advantage of the warm weather the Lord has provided us with! Our compost bin is now completed, and the greenhouse tables are under construction. A tiller was finally provided and we prepared the soil so we can begin planting our greens. Adam Jackson's orchard project has been completed and it is now our job to ensure that we maintain his work, and God's creation.

Febuary 8th, 2011.
Today I saw that my tomatoes are still not growing and I was wondering what I should do with them. Mr. Hardin said wait till the 14th day and then lets see what happens. I watered it more than I usually do but I didnt soak the soil. So hopefully they grow soon. :)--Brentley

I'm as anxious as you are. These are early girls right? False advertising I say.

Mrs. Patti Smith for donating our greenhouse cover and for her gardening wisdom.

Our Cooperative Extension Agent David Goforth for helping us with our planting schedule and site location for our greenhouse (technically a high tunnel). This guy is amazing! Take a look here.

Mr. Neiman, without your help our seedling/germinating chamber would not have been beautiful.

Mr. Taylor for his sage advice, but mainly his tools. We will get those back asap!

Mrs. Mahle for giving our class many pots for our larger plants.

Ms. Margret for donating llama dung for fertilizer.

Mr. Jackson for giving us supplies for our hot bed.

Thanks to Mrs. Balbuena's 5th grade class for taking care of all our plants while we were away.
